Setting Environmental Variables
The default behaviour of TapeTrack programs can be changed by setting environmental variables.
These variables can be set using the following methods.
Windows Command Line
<sxh plain;> set VARIABLE=VALUE </sxh>
Where VARIABLE is the variable name, and VALUE is the variable value.
Linux Shell
To set an environmental variable in the Linux operating system, use the export command.
<sxh plain;> export VARIABLE=VALUE </sxh>
Where VARIABLE is the variable name, and VALUE is the variable value.
You can also prepend the variable to the command.
<sxh plain;> TMSSREPORTFORMAT=CSV TMSS10Inventory </sxh>
TapeTrack Config File
The TapeTrack Config File that is loaded when each Desktop and Command Line Program is initiated, it can also be used to set environmental variable.
